About Mahadbt Scholarship 2023

The Maharashtra government has come up with a portal through which they provide Mahadbt Scholarship to all of the students of the Maharashtra state who are not able to pay their fees because of its high rate. Also, an online portal has been designed so that the students no longer have to visit the concerned government office to avail the benefit of the different scholarships which are available for them. There are different scholarships present for different types of students and different types of categories and religions of the student.

Types of Mahadbt Scholarship

There are various types of post-matric scholarship schemes that are offered through the Mahadbt portal. The list of these scholarships are as follows:-

Eligibility Criteria of MahaDBT Scholarship Schemes

The eligibility criteria of various kinds of scholarship that are offered by Mahadbt Scholarship are as follows:-

Social Justice and Special Assistance Department

The department of social justice and special assistance Maharashtra provides this scholarship at the post-matric level. Under this scholarship, various types of assistance are provided to the students in the form of tuition fees, exam fees, education fees, maintenance Allowance etc. You apply for this scholarship scheme through Maha DBT Portal. Before applying you are required to check your eligibility criteria. There are five types of scholarships that are offered by the social justice and special assistance department. You can view the details regarding the eligibility criteria of these scholarships below:-

Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship

The annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The student should belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha category. The student must be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. Only two professional courses are allowed.

Post Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (Freeship)

The annual income should not exceed above INR 2.5 Lakh. The student’s category should be Scheduled Caste (SC) or Neo Buddhist. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. The student’s institute should be located in Maharashtra recognized by the Government. The students should admit through CAP round only for Professional Courses

Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses

The students should be admitted to professional courses. The students should be the scholarship holder of the Government of India. The family annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The students who are studying in the professional curriculum and residing in Hostel (Government or Institutes Hostel or outside).

 

 

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability

The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above) The students should be residents of Maharashtra. The students should be studying at a recognised university or institute. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course.

 

Tribal Development Department

There are four types of scholarships that are offered by the tribal development department under Post Matric Scholarship through the Mahadbt Scholarship. These scholarships can be availed only by the scheduled category students. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial assistance are provided in the form of tuition fees, examination fees, vocational education fees, maintenance allowance etc. If you want to apply for a tribal development department scholarship then you are required to check your eligibility criteria. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

Only ST students are applicable to apply. The annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should at least have passed the class 10th examination.

Tuition Fee and Exam Fee for Tribal Students

The student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to the ST category only.

 

 

Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance

The student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to ST category only

 

Directorate of Technical Education

Usually, technical education is more costly than general education and there are many students who despite being good in academics can not afford to pursue technical education. So the Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra offers 2 types of scholarships for those students who are undergoing technical Education like engineering, biotechnology, architecture etc. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial assistance are offered to the students so that they can continue their education without thinking about the financial burden. The details of eligibility criteria of technical education scholarship scheme are as follows:-

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna

The applicant should be an Indian national. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra state. The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses. The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible. The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this. For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to avail of the benefits of the scheme. The total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. A minimum of 50 % attendance in the previous semester is required. During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DTE)

The applicant should be an Indian national. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra state. The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses. The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible. The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this. For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to benefit from the scheme. The total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. A minimum of 50 % attendance in the previous semester is required. During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years

OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC Welfare Department

Under this scholarship scheme financial assistance is provided to all the students who belong to OBC, VJNT, SEBC and SBC category. Only those students who belong to the above-mentioned categories can apply for this scholarship scheme. Those students who are pursuing courses approved by the government can take benefit of this scholarship. Before applying for this scholarship applicants are advised to check their eligibility criteria. Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT Students

The applicant should belong to VJNT, OBC, and SBC category. The applicants must be pursuing the education course approved by the government. The annual family income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant should apply for the scholarship via the CAP system. The applicant should achieve 75% attendance for the current year.

Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students

The applicant should belong to the VJNT category. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state. The annual family income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The students enrolled in degree courses in Health Science etc. are eligible to apply. The freeship will be applicable to students enrolled in unaided or aided government colleges in technical education. The students who are enrolled in courses such as Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries are also eligible to apply.

Payment of Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges

The applicant should belong to the VJNT and SBC category. The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant should be admitted to the hostels in professional colleges. The applicant is not eligible if he or she takes admission in a government hostel. The students who are enrolled in professional courses such as Engineering, Medical, Veterinary, Architecture etc.

 

 

Post Matric Scholarship to OBC Students

The applicant should belong to the OBC category. The applicants must be pursuing education courses approved by the government. The application should come via CAP round for professional courses. The applicants need 75% attendance for the current year.

Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students

The parent’s annual income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicants must belong to the SBC category. The applicants should be residents of Maharashtra. The applicants must be pursuing the education courses approved by the government.

Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC Students

The applicant must be pursuing post-matric education from government-approved colleges. They must belong to the OBC category. The applicants must be residents of Maharashtra. The students pursuing degree courses in Health Science related courses are eligible to apply. The students pursuing higher and technical education from aided or unaided government colleges are also eligible. The applicants who are pursuing courses in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fishery etc. are also eligible to apply.

The applicants must belong to the SBC category. The annual family income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The applicants must be pursuing education courses approved by the government. The applicant must be a domicile of Maharashtra State.

Minority Development Department

The minority development department scholarships are offered to those students who belong to the minority community. Under this scholarship scheme, 3 types of scholarship are provided to minority students which are state minority Scholarship part II (DHE), Scholarship for students of minority community pursuing higher and professional courses (DTE) and scholarship for students of minority communities pursuing higher and professional courses (DMER). Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial incentives are provided to the students. Before applying for this scholarship scheme the students are advised to check the eligibility criteria. Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities Pursuing Higher and Professional Courses (DTE)

The applicant should be an Indian national. The candidate should be domicile of Maharashtra state. The candidates should have passed SSC from Maharashtra state. The applicant should be “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted to Professional and Technical courses (diploma/graduation/ post-graduation degree). The candidate should be admitted through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) / Institute Level. The applicant should not avail any other scholarship/stipend. The total annual income of family should not be more than INR 8 Lakh.
